DLC powers the city of Pittsburgh. Most people simply saw them as only that. What they didn't see was that they don't just keep the lights on - they are part of the community. We set out to modernize their brand with a complete branding overhaul alongside a responsive website, built for the modern digital world.

Visualizing The Future

To enhance the rebrand of Duquesne Light Co., we created an elaborate icon set as well as spot illustrations for the new brand to use in marketing materials, infographics and the newly designed website to further express their refreshed and modern personality.

UI KIT

Creating A Mini Design System

By creating a UI Kit, we were able to design a large-scale website with elements pre-designed in order to maintain a consistent user interface that scaled properly on all device sizes.

Designing A Modern Website

Prior to the rebranding of DLC, the company website was extremely outdated, lacked in UX and was very difficult for users to navigate. It was also hard to access their online accounts in order to see and pay their recent bills. We designed a modern website following best practices to create an easy to use website for users to create and access their accounts, cancel or suspend service, and learn more about what's going on in their area, such as service outages.
